The US consumer is not “going back” to where they were before but is moving forward in new and exciting ways. This presentation will review what happened in 2022 in terms of growing and declining introductions across categories, new and emerging (and some fading) claims, and a brief discussion of changes in consumer behavior. Then we’ll look ahead into 2023 and beyond, with discussion of three key food & beverage trends that Mintel’s experts have identified as impactful for the new year: Savvy Sustenance (creating well-priced nutritious food), Staying Sharp (formulating for improved mental performance), and Unguilty Pleasures (because we all deserve a treat!).
