How do you re-prioritise the planet in a cost of living crisis?

As the impact of climate change has become more evident, companies and consumers have shifted towards more sustainable solutions. This has created new opportuniteis for less impactful products and brands across Food and Drink, Household, Beauty and Personal Care.

Major companies have re-prioritised the planet alongside profits in an effort to future-proof their business, but with European consumers facing the greatest squeeze on their incomes in over 30 years, can they continue to seek out sustainable brands and get the best value for their money? To what extent should companies invest in sustainable practices at a time when their profits are under severe pressure? And which areas of sustainability should brands be focusing on?

In Mintel's Big Conversation 2023, category experts across the consumer packaged goods (CPG) space, will make sense of the data and offer bold and actionable recommendations for how companies should re-prioritise the planet in a cost of living crisis.
